Die Blues Music Awards bringen Blueskünstler, Branchenvertreter und Fans aus der ganzen Welt zusammen, um die besten Bluesaufnahmen und -Aufführungen des vergangenen Jahres zu feiern. Die BMAs gelten allgemein als die höchste Auszeichnung für Bluesmusiker und werden von den Mitgliedern der Blues Foundation per Abstimmung vergeben.
